NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW) -- Investigators are looking into an incident where multiple shots were fired in North Augusta just after midnight on Friday.
Raymond Butler says he was on his way home from picking up a friend and that when he turned right onto Fairview Avenue from Pinecrest Drive, someone started shooting at his vehicle from an an unknown car.
He says he accelerated to get away, turning left on Alexander Drive, which is when he hit a ditch.
That's when he says the person fired additional shots at him before driving off.
Officers found two small bullet holes in the tailgate of his Ford F-150 and six .22-caliber shell casings near Alexander Drive.
Both Butler and his passenger were taken to the hospital for head injures.
