WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- A Sandersville man was arrested in Davisboro, Ga., on Thursday after allegedly breaking into a home.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office was called to the home on West Brown Street after someone called and said that Michael Braddy broke into the home while he was armed with a gun. Investigators say the victim was shot at once during the incident.
The Sheriff's Office says Braddy left the scene before officers arrived, but he was found during a later search and arrested.
Sheriff Thomas Smith says Braddy had been previously ordered to stay away from the home in connection to another incident.
Braddy, 23, is being held at the Washington County Jail and is charged with burglary, aggravated assault, aggravated stalking, cruelty to a child, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm with an altered identification and criminal trespass.
The sheriff says the case remains under investigation and more charges are possible.
