NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. -- A Warrenville man was arrested on Friday after allegedly leading an officer on a foot chase.

Joseph L. Jones, 30, was driving a pickup truck when an officer said he spotted Jones and his juvenile passenger without seat belts on.

The officer says when he tried to stop the car, Jones pulled into a car wash. Jones then allegedly ran away to a nearby church before being arrested.

Jones is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, driving under suspension, resisting arrest and two seat belt violations.
