Man accused in double fatal accident granted bond

Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The man accused in a double fatal accident from March has been granted bond.

The bond for William Shores was set at $30,000 in court on Thursday -- $15,000 for each count. If he makes bond, he is not allowed to contact any friends of the victims or the victims' family members.

Shores is also not allowed to drive a vehicle.

Richmond County deputies say Shores was speeding when he hit and killed 13-year-old Sarah Riffe and 17-year-old Michael Perry on McCombs Road back in March.
