LINCOLN COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office will be conducting checkpoints this weekend near a murder victim's home in hopes of getting more information on the crime.
Motorists will be interviewed during checkpoints that will happen starting Friday at 5 p.m. and continuing through midnight.
Hamp Turner was found dead in his home on Highway 220 East on the afternoon of Dec. 8.
Sheriff Bruce Beggs said in a news release that the stops will be brief.
"Mr. Turner was a well-liked and loved member of our community and we are committed to bringing the people who committed this terrible murder to justice,” said Beggs in a news release.
