Investigators working to identify robber at Wells Fargo on Washington Road

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Richmond County investigators are asking for your help in identifying a robber after an incident at the Wells Fargo Bank on the 2000 block of Washington Road Monday morning.

A black male ran into an elderly female, snatching her deposit bag before fleeing the bank at around 10:17 a.m. He was followed as he ran west on Washington Road, but a witness lost sight of him around the 200 block of Boy Scout Road.

The robber, a black male, was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and light-colored shoes. He is described as being about 5'6" or 5'8" with a slender build.
