Investigators arrest 4, seize 44 pounds of marijuana in Martinez

MARTINEZ, Ga. -- Investigators made four arrests and seized 44 pounds of marijuana from a car in Martinez on Tuesday.

The bust happened on Cedar Lane after investigators searched a home and two cars.

Investigators also seized 15 counterfeit $20 bills, a 20-gauge shotgun and 10 grams of marijuana from the home.

Charles Potter Jr. was charged with trafficking marijuana, giving a false name, forgery in the second degree, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and an order to show cause.

Tyre Moton was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Paul Anthony McDaniel was arrested on a probation warrant from Gwinett County. His original charge was for involuntary manslaughter.

Candace Michelle Lawson was arrested on an order to show cause warrant.

The bust was a joint effort between the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division.
