Investigators working to identify suspect in theft of 13 cellphones

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW) -- The North Augusta Department of Public Safety is working to identify a suspect in a shoplifting incident at Walmart.

Investigators say the person in the attached photographs went behind the electronics department counter, broke the glass sliding door and stole 13 cellphones.

The man allegedly put the cellphones, valued at $8,000, in a suitcase and left in a silver or gold Ford Crown Victoria or Mercury.

The incident happened on April 23 at 3:25 a.m.
