Augusta firefighters work Hephzibah house fire

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta-Richmond County firefighters worked to put out a house fire in Hephzibah on Sunday.
The fire happened at a home on the 1600 block of Brown Road.
Our reporter on the scene tells us the home is burned to the ground but there was no one inside at the time.
We're told deputies have blocked off Brown Road as they work to put out the flames. As of 1 a.m., they were still on the scene.
