Man fatally shot while invading apartment in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- One man died after a shooting in Augusta early Friday morning.
Deputies were called to an apartment on the 1900 block of Battle Row around 2 a.m. for a home invasion.
Bobby Lockhart, 26, said a masked man with a gun forced his way into the apartment, so he shot him.
The suspect, whose identify has not been released at this time, was taken to the hospital. He was pronounced dead at GHSU.
