COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- A Columbia County Detention Center officer has been arrested on criminal charges after being fired earlier this month.
An inmate told Detention Center officers on Feb. 5 that contraband was being brought inside the facility by an officer.
Kester Henry Dozier, 41, was fired on Feb. 11 and arrested on Tuesday for delivery of prohibited articles to inmates and violation of oath of office.
Dozier served in the U.S. Army from November 1991 to September 2012 and was hired as a detention officer in November 2012.
