BARNWELL, S.C. (WRDW) -- A Barnwell man has been sentenced to life in prison after being convicted on drug charges.
Terrance Lamar Wiggins, 32, was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute cocaine, possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
According to a news release from the court, evidence showed that Wiggins "dealt in hundreds of kilograms of cocaine, acted as a leader in his drug distribution organization and obstructed justice."
Investigators say Wiggins regularly bought 10 kilograms of cocaine and sold it in and around the Barnwell area. When Wiggins' home was searched, investigators found cocaine, scales, multiple weapons and thousands of dollars.
