BARNWELL COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW) -- Investigators say a woman shot her boyfriend in the back in Barnwell County Monday night.
Sheriff Ed Carroll says the male victim sustained a single gunshot wound to the back and was taken to the hospital. There is no word on his condition at this time, but his injuries are said to be serious.
Investigators say the victim is the live-in companion of 53-year-old Elizabeth Rose Harley. Harley is in custody.
Sheriff Carroll says they are continuing to investigate what prompted the shooting.
The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m.
