BAMBERG, S.C. (WRDW) -- A Bamberg man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl.
Andrew Williams, 38, was arrested by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division on Friday.
The affidavit states Williams signed the girl into school under a fraudulent name. Someone at the school recognized Williams and contacted police.
The victim told investigators that she called and texted Williams the morning of the incident and agreed to meet him at the Flea Market on Baruch Street. She says he picked her up from the flea market and took her to his home, which is where the incident happened.
Williams has been charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor third degree, which is a felony. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison and a fine.
He's also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, which is a misdemeanor. If convicted, he faces up to three years in prison and a $3,000 fine.
