COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. -- The aunt and guardian of a 3-year-old who died after drowning in a pool last week has been arrested.
Sharon Davis has been charged with contributing to the delinquency/deprivation of a minor and involuntary manslaughter in the death of Raydin Holbrooks.
Davis is being held in the Columbia County Detention Center. No bond has been set for her at this time.
Somehow the toddler made her way from her home near the beginning of Pauline Street in Grovetown to the end of the road and then all the way past the neighbor's gate and into the pool.
News 12's Katie Beasley spoke with the pool's owner on the day of the drowning, and she was very upset and heartbroken. She told News 12 that they've had the pool for 25 years and are now planning to add cameras to their property.
