AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Kevin D. Richardson is a father and a wanted man. The Richmond County Sheriff's Office says 21-year-old Richardson is one of two men involved in the beatings of Wesley Spires and Ashley Solesbee.

This is not his first run-in with the law.

News 12 uncovered at the age of 17, he was charged with theft by taking and possession of a firearm. Police reports allege he stole and sold his mother's employer's handgun. In 2011, he was given a ticket for disorderly conduct and another ticket for marijuana possession in 2012.

We tracked down his mother's last address on Hines Street and knocked, but no answer. We also went to one of his relative's hotel rooms on Gordon Highway, but still no answer.

A News 12 viewer says he saw eight Richmond County deputies come to the Gordon Inn and Suites looking for Richardson. Even though one suspect is named, investigators are now working to identify the second suspect.

A $10,000 reward has been issued for information leading to an arrest and conviction of suspects in the case.
