Augusta grandmother pleads guilty to child cruelty charges

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- An Augusta grandmother pleaded guilty on Friday to cruelty to children in the first degree.
Minnie Lee Lamb was arrested in November after investigators say she beat her 10-year-old granddaughter with a belt in June.
The girl was found to have cuts and bruises all over her legs, arm and face.
Lamb was not in the courtroom on Friday, but her attorney entered the plea on her behalf.
