Arrest made in Aiken burglaries

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW) -- An arrest has been made in connection to the recent burglaries near downtown Aiken.

Tremayne Deshawn Crawford, 22, was found hiding in the attic of a home on Abbeville Avenue on Wednesday night.

Crawford is charged with first-degree burglary and is being held at the Aiken County Detention Center. He also had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

The ATF Rage Unit, the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division, the Aiken County Sheriff's Office and the Aiken County Solicitor's Office assisted the Aiken Department of Public Safety in the arrest.
