LINCOLN COUNTY, Ga. -- An arrest has been made after over $155,000 was stolen from Double Branches Baptist Church in Lincolnton, Ga.

Barney Aycock III, 49, has been charged with three counts of financial transaction card fraud and one count of theft by taking.

Aycock was booked into the Lincoln County Jail on Friday but was released after posting a $100,000 bond.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office says additional charges are likely. They say Aycock was acting alone.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation assisted in the arrest.
