CLEARWATER, S.C. -- Two men are in custody, charged with attempted murder after a weekend incident in Clearwater, S.C.
Larry Dorsey and Griff Calhoun were allegedly chasing victim Daniel Scott with a gun around Seminole and Cherokee drives on Saturday. Investigators say one shot was fired in the area, but no one was seriously injured.
Dorsey said he and Calhoun got into a fight with Scott because Scott allegedly tried to grab Dorsey's girlfriend.
The two men tried to get away in a truck, but officers were able to catch them a mile down the road during a traffic stop.The Aiken County Sheriff's Office was then able to arrest Dorsey and Calhoun.
Dorsey was charged with attempted murder, assault and battery of a highly aggravated nature and possession of a weapon.
Griff was charged with attempted murder, assault and battery of a highly aggravated nature and unlawful carrying of a pistol.
