Aiken man wanted on armed robbery, kidnapping charges

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW) -- An Aiken man who is considered to be armed and dangerous is wanted on armed robbery and kidnapping charges.

The Aiken Department of Public Safety says 22-year-old Maurice Lamont Council allegedly robbed two people on Hill Avenue and Columbia Avenue the morning of July 23. Investigators say Council was armed with a handgun at the time.

Xavier Matheney, 21, was arrested on July 31 and charged with armed robbery in connection to the incident.
