AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW) -- The Aiken Department of Public Safety is looking for a man wanted on escape, weapon and drug charges.

Marrio Sherard Parker, 33, allegedly fled from police officers who were trying to arrest him.

Investigators say he was stopped for speeding on Whiskey Road, which is when an officer smelled what appeared to be marijuana and proceeded to arrest him. Officers say they found a pistol under his driver's seat. While officers were trying to put Parker in the patrol vehicle, he allegedly resisted them and then ran away.

Parker is considered to be armed and dangerous.
