GRANITEVILLE, S.C. -- The Aiken County SWAT team and the Edgefield County Sheriff's Office have taken a burglary suspect into custody at Whaley Pond Road near Breezy Hill Drive.
Our crew on the scene tells us the suspect, Scott Williams, was wanted for several burglaries in Edgefield County.
The SWAT team responded because of concerns he was heavily armed.
Authorities were able to take him into custody without incident Tuesday afternoon.
