COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. -- Two women, including the adopted daughter of the victim, have been indicted in connection to a burglary in July.
Marlin Dean, 19, was indicted on burglary and theft by receiving stolen property charges. Dean allegedly stole over $20,000 in jewelry from her adopted mother, Renee Dean, in July.
Eva Lopez-Macias Nevarez, 38, was also indicted on burglary charges. She allegedly brought her kids into the Gold Shop on Washington Road and sold the jewelry with Marlin.
The judge refused to grant a bond for Dean on Aug. 14, saying she was a "flight risk."
Dean's adopted father, Scott, is serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted of two counts of child molestation in December.
He was convicted of sexually molesting one of his other adopted daughters, touching her and exposing himself to her.
