MONETTA, S.C.---Aiken County deputies are searching for two suspects in a drive-by shooting which left one man injured. It happened at 151 Pine Circle in Monetta on Sunday.

Now, this is the third shooting in just 10 days in Aiken County.

Around 9:30 Sunday evening, 40 year old Timothy Jackson was standing in front of his driveway talking to a woman. A few minutes later, he was shot on the right side of his body.

It was a crazy Sunday night for a neighbor of Timothy. He was sitting in his house, watching TV and then:

"I hear three shots boom boom boom. I come out to see what's going on. They said the neighbor had gotten shot at."

He says deputies were everywhere.

"Whoa, what the hell is going on around this joint?"

The reason: investigators say Timothy Jackson was standing in his driveway talking to a woman in a car and was hit by birdshots from a shotgun. Two black men left the scene after the shooting. Neighbors have noticed nothing unusual lately.

"Just like any other neighborhood. Just quiet like it is right now, too quiet."

And since moving here three years ago, nothing like this.

"Just can't figure it out. They don't know why, who. Hey, I'm puzzled."

He's not the only one. Aiken County Deputies say it's early on in the investigation, but...

"It appears whoever committed this crime came to this home with the intent of shooting this individual," says Lt. Michael Frank.

This is the third shooting in 10 days in Aiken County. The first on Friday, September 7th on Old Airport Road. The second -- a deadly shooting on Kenmont Street in Aiken on Sept. 12th. And now this shooting. Still, no trend for investigators.

"We haven't developed any information to link these," says Lt. Frank.

For now, everyone is looking for answers.

"It's crazy. I just don't understand it."

Timothy Jackson went to MCG Sunday Night after the shooting. The hospital is not releasing any information on Jackson.

The incident report says the suspect was driving a two-door white car. It may have been a Saturn or a Grand Am.

If you have any information, call law enforcement, the Aiken County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers of the Midlands at 1-888-559-TIPS.
