Child says man attempted to kidnap her at bus stop

August 17, 2007

AUGUSTA, Ga.---Richmond County investigators are looking for a man who approached a ten-year-old child at her bus stop this morning.

The child told police the man came up to her at a bus stop in the 1700 block of Wycliffe Street. She says he lifted his shirt and showed her what she thought was a gun, then told her to get in his car.

She ran to a neighbor's house and called for help.

The man was last seen driving a light blue four-door car with tinted windows.

No other children were there at the time.
