Man allegedly robbed while trying to buy Masters tickets

AUGUSTA---Investigators are looking for a man accused of robbing a Smyrna man who says he was trying to purchase Masters tickets.

According to the incident report, the victim told officers that he agreed to meet with a man at 3745 Wheeler road to buy the 8 tickets. When the two met, the victim said the man pulled out a handgun and demanded the money. The victim told officers the man took 14,000 dollars in cash.

Investigators brought out the K-9 unit to look for the man, but were unable to find him.

    WOW! Carrying around $14,000 anywhere will get you robbed! How stupid can you be, and if it was a legal dealing than the person should have gotten a certified check to protect himself! Can we say stupid!

    She should have done this kind of exchange with a police office present, you can trust people these days. Especially not with $14000.00
