AUGUSTA, Ga---Sgt. Richard Roundtree tells News 12 the Sheriff's office has a lot of key information they hope will lead to the arrest of Stedmund Fryer's killer. He is the 18-year-old gunned down Sunday inside the Super C nightclub on Tobacco Road.

Sgt. Roundtree says they have a suspect, key players, their nicknames, phone number, and addresses.
He says the major case squad plans to increase patrols this weekend to get a killer off the streets.

"We're not going to sit back and wait on another shooting to occur. We're going to go out and find these violent offenders and take them into custody," he says.

Authorities believe both 18-year-old Darion Mcnair, the accused killer, and Jordash Tanksley, the man wanted for questioning, are armed and still in the Augusta area.

Officers say McNair's sister's apartment was riddled with bullets a few hours after the killing. Sgt. Roundtree says they've received credible information that there is a retaliation shooting planned, so investigators are prepared.

"We are beefing up patrols in a particular area, hitting hot spots, our crime suppression team will be out," he says.

Authorities are receiving tips daily. A tip on Thursday led them to a home of some of Stedmund Fryer's family. They recovered a stolen gun. Officers believe it may have used in the planned payback shooting.
