Final crime spree suspect captured

June 27, 2007

AUGUSTA, Ga.---Richmond County investigators say the last suspect is now in jail for his part in last week's crime spree in North Augusta and Augusta.

17-year-old Travis Roberts now faces 13 charges in both states, including armed robbery, aggravated assault, and burglary.

Six others were arrested earlier in the spree.

It all began with two North Augusta carjackings and ended in three crimes in Augusta, including a home invasion where one man was shot.

Investigators don't expect any more arrests in this case.
