AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Eight suspects have now been named in the shootout that happened on Thames Place last month, which investigators now say may have been a gang-related dispute.
The following suspects have been charged in connection to the shootout:
All of the suspects have been charged with reckless conduct and unlawful street gang activity. Investigators say they believe the shootout was part of a dispute between two gangs.
Surveillance footage from the night of June 29 shows a group of men walking down Thames Place in a straight line -- carrying what neighbors say were everything from shotguns to pistols -- and then shooting into a crowd of teens.
Investigators say no one has come forward saying they were shot at during the incident.
The Sheriff's Office says that some of the suspects were part of or present at other incidents that have happened since that shootout.
The first was on July 18 when investigators say gunshots erupted during a house party. Deputies found Marquez Eubanks and Jeremy Whitehead at the scene with gunshot wounds. Eubanks later died from his injuries.
Abbott has been charged in connection to the shooting. He's facing charges of murder, two counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Investigators say the shooting stemmed from a dispute between two rival gangs and that other than Abbott, other suspects from the Thames Place shootout were also present at the time of the shooting on East Kensington Drive.
Two of the Thames Place shootout suspects have been charged in a drive-by shooting that happened on Brussels Street on July 21. Investigators say Lovett and Scott opened fire, causing damage to the home. Both have been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
The Sheriff's Office says a resident of the home is believed to be a member of the suspects' rival gang.
