AUGUSTA, Ga -- It's an unsolved murder in Richmond County stemming from October, 2005.

For the last year and a half the family of Rodnick Patterson have wanted answers to who killed him and why.

Only on 12, his father - Tyrone Patterson - speaks out.

It was two months before Rodnick Patterson would turn nineteen.
"He was planning on going in the navy when he finished high school," says father, Tyrone Patterson who was proud of his only son whom he visits often at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery in South Augusta.

"It hurts. It's a sad thing. No parent wants to see their child being buried at an early age."

Eighteen months have passed since the high school senior was shot and killed outside the Augusta Inn and Conference Center.

So far, noone's been indicted but charges may be pending.

Terrence Hanna sat in jail for over a year and appeared to be the prime suspect.

After a number of bond reductions he was released but only on the condition he'd be supervised.

"I'm mad as hell, " says Tyrone Patterson. "I'm not going to let it rest."

Mr. Patterson is is furious because he believes Hanna is guilty. He's begging police to put Hanna back behind bars. "It's frustrating. It's frustrating to see my child lying in this grave and he's walking back on the street."

It's a fear that often keeps this father awake at night; sometimes in tears, other times in prayer. He's pleading for answers so his son can rest in peace.

"Somebody knows something," he says. "Ii really wish his friends would come forward because they were right there that night it happened."

Terrence Hanna was released last December on $82,000 bond.

According to the district attorney, he's living with a family friend - a preacher - who has agreed to monitor him.

Charges may be pending.
