AUGUSTA, Ga.---Two days after a father is gunned down in front of his home, and still no answers.

Robert Love was a man who meant the world to his family. They are left without a son, a brother, a cousin, a father and a husband.

Now they need your help to catch a killer.

"It's not fair...just not fair," Robert's sister, Latreante Pickney, told News 12. She still can't believe her baby brother is gone.

Holding hands side by side, Robert's family is leaning on each other for support.

It's support his fiancée Dee Dee Andrews is going to need. At 21 she will have to raise their eleven-month-old son on her own.

"I miss him," she said. "I just miss him so much. I want him to come back."

But Robert won't ever be coming home.

The 22-year-old was last seen outside his apartment early Saturday morning (April 28). A friend dropped him off at around 5 am. After that, it's still a mystery.

Witnesses say they heard an argument and three gunshots, then saw a man standing over Robert beating him with a gun.

Somehow Robert crawled to near his door, and that's where Dee Dee found him.

"I opened the door and he was laying there, his eyes looking at me," Dee Dee said. "I didn't know he'd been shot till I rolled him over."

Robert died later at MCG.

Now his family has a message for the person responsible.

"You have no heart to do this to a family," Dee Dee said. "He has a family. A young family. I want to see you and for you to see what we're going through. He has a baby."

"I hope the person knows they took somebody special, and if you can live with that, then you don't deserve to be here either," said Robert's cousin, Takora Finnie.

Richmond County's major case squad is handling this case, and they're confident they'll solve it. This is the only unsolved murder in Richmond County this year.

I know exactly what your family is going through. My family experienced the same sadness and tragedy on Mar 7, 2007 (Corey Joseph). Please be strong, patient and prayerful and the suspect will be caught. Much respect to Det. Roundtree and everyone else who helped apprehend the suspects in Corey's case. I have every confidence that they will bring closure to your family also with the arrest of the suspect.
