A Hephzibah man is dead after receiving at least two gunshot wounds to the head yesterday afternoon. It happened around 2 o'clock on Daniel Street, off Savannah Road.

Investigators found 53-year-old Freddie Jones lying face down next to his 1998 Lincoln Navigator. He died at the Medical College of Georgia later in the evening.

Jones lived in the 4100 block of Pinnacle Way, about ten miles from the site of the shooting.

We're still waiting to find out why Jones was there, why the shooting happened, and who is behind it. Some people told the sheriff's office that Jones was delivering food to the elderly.

Investigators are out finding answers right now.
