The Aiken County Sheriff's Office has arrested an Edgefield man in an Internet predator sting. Michael Leonard Williams, 30, was arrested yesterday.
Williams was arrested on one count of Criminal Solicitation of a Minor and one count of Attempted Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor.
Williams thought he was arranging to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex. He was actually communicating with an undercover Aiken County sheriff's deputy. Williams was arrested when he arrived at the arranged location.
This is the 57th arrest since the Internet Predator law was passed in April 2004.
