Man who escaped from police in handcuffs turns self in

AIKEN, S.C.---Jack Cooper, who escaped from a deputy after his arrest Sunday for the armed robbery of La Escond'da Tienda in Graniteville, has turned himself in to Aiken County deputies.

His mother Linda tells News 12 he called his family this morning, and she and his sister picked him up and took him to surrender.

Cooper is being held at the Aiken County Detention Center in Aiken.
