AIKEN CTY, S.C.--- A third on the Most Wanted Deadbeat Dad Wanted list in Aiken County has been arrested, along with two others who were arrested earlier today.

The Sheriff's Office says moments ago, James Cochran Jr. was arrested at a home in Aiken County, after a tip was provided to the Sheriff's Office.

About an hour earlier, the Sheriff's Office told us Steven Simon turned himself in.

Just moments after our story first aired on News 12 First at Five, John Odom, who owed more than $100,000 in child support, was arrested after a tip lead investigators to the Kalmia Hair Salon. That is on Kalmia Avenue, where deputies found Odom standing outside the Salon.

9 others labeled as the Most Wanted Deadbeat Dads are still on the run tonight.

Any update to the Dead Beat Dad Story of July 23? many now have been arrested or turned in? Last I heard it was three. It seems that the story stopped after the third man was captured.

Aiken County child support services suck!!! What about all the 1990's cases they never tried to enforce. And we as single parents have to also be accountable for our deadbeat dads/moms.We chose these losers. No one made us sleep with them nor marry them.

Bobbi-You are right they make one payment to keep their license and stop paying after that. And the Employer will lie about them working there. So these Companies should be made to pay also. Most of the time the sorry *** Case managers knows the deadbeat, from the streets and don't do their jobs!! Augusta has the worst Child Support Office,I have ever seen.Rude attitudes,don't/won't attempt to locate the absent parent, don't return no phone calls, unprepared when /if you go to court, and even act like, you owe them something, and that's from the front window,to the case managers in the back. That Office(Aug)needs a big overhaul!!

this is one of the smartest things that aiken could have done now all the other states need to follow this coming from someone who's father never paid a dime from the time she was seven and her and all her siblings are old enough now that they don't want to have anything to do with him, if parents paid child support so many people wouldn't be getting govermnet assistance that the rest of us are paying to take of their kids. I think these parents to grow a set or loose a set.

I never got help from Ga until my ex moved to SC. SC helped Ga in collecting back Child support a few months until he fled again.

is there no "deadbeat" mom list??? these guys give some dadas a bad name and some of the people look past the fact that there are mothers that do the same thing!! there should really be a "deadbeat parent" list

I think Child Support Recovery should post all the dead beat dads, and stop not going after these guys, after they make one payment, and that leads to another no payment for months on end to the child. This has to end at some point. And the employers who hide the fact that they are employed and hide it should be fined very deeply. Maybe this will stop them from telling Child Support Recovery they aren't working their. Make tougher laws on both the employer and the takes for every to get a responce from them.

Hey(dejae),I know somebody that haven't paid a dime towards his child since 1995, and the sorry a** Child Support Office, haven't did a thing about it!!Their most famous line is "We can't locate an employer for him".Well, you can tell them where the Deadbeat works/lives and still get no results!!
