5 arrested during drug bust near Harlem

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- Five people were arrested following a drug bust near Harlem on Wednesday afternoon.

Narcotics investigators confiscated 2 kilos of cocaine, which was being kept in a camper freezer behind a barn, and approximately 1 pound of heroin and 1 pound of marijuana, found in a cooler buried inside the barn.

Investigators also found 546 juvenile marijuana plants, $14,198 in cash ans six firearms at the home at 484 White Road.

Alexandra Elena Lopez-Chavez was found inside the home. Ezequiel Chavez, Ronulfo Valdonnos-Enriquez, Luis Emillio Figueroa and Alfredo Reyes-Valdez were found in a shed near the home.

All five suspects have been charged with trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in heroin and possession of marijuana with intent to distributed.

Additional charges for manufacturing marijuana could be coming if the plants test positive at the crime lab.
