UPDATE: 2 arrested for breaking into vending machine on Old Petersburg Road

MARTINEZ, Ga. -- The Columbia County Sheriff's Office has made two arrests after a vending machine at the Dollar Wash on Old Petersburg Road was broken into last week.

The two suspects, a white male and a black male, allegedly showed up in a red and white Ford truck around 11:50 p.m. on May 28 and surveillance caught them tampering with the vending machine until it opened up.

The men are accused of getting away with $300 in cash and coins and doing about $1,000 worth of damage to the machine.

Cpt. Steve Morris says Freddie Gordon was arrested on Tuesday in connection to the crime. Henry Marchman was arrested on Wednesday.
