2 corrections officers accused of bringing contraband inside Augusta prison

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Two Augusta State Medical Prison corrections officers were arrested on Friday for allegedly bringing contraband inside the facility.

Lance David Driggers, 24, is charged with felony criminal attempt. His bond has been set at $7,500.

Paul James Castillo, 26, is charged with going inside the guard line with drugs, liquor/weapons and felony criminal attempt. His bond has been set at $15,000.

Both Driggers and Castillo are in custody at the Richmond County Jail.

Another prison employee was arrested earlier this year after allegedly bringing in cell phones, cigarettes and other tobacco products. Augusta State Medical Prison employee Melissa Lenett Brown was arrested in January.
