AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- A daycare worker is behind bars in connection to an abuse incident from two years ago.
Geraldine Mills, 47, is being charged with child cruelty after allegedly getting caught on camera hitting a 3-year-old with a plastic object while yelling and grabbing the child violently.
Investigators say she grabbed the victim by both arms in a violent manner and forced him onto a toilet seat, shoving him into the toilet bowl while he was fully clothed.
They say Mills was an employee at the Children's Unique Christian Day Care at the time of the incident.
The abuse only recently came to light after someone reported seeing the footage on another daycare worker's phone.
Mills remains in jail without bond.
