AUGUSTA, Ga. - Officers are cracking down on members of six major gangs in the area in an operation called "Augusta Ink."

Gang number 1: O-Dub --They mainly hangout in South Augusta. O-Dub is considered the oldest and largest gang in Augusta.

Gang number 2 also hangs out in South Augusta: Meadowbrook Clique. Officers have also arrested some of their members.

Hephzibah has seen its fair share of gang activity too, with gang number 3 on the crackdown list: The Georgia Deadly Boyz.

Gang number 4, the Circle Boyz, is usually found in the Glenn Hills area.

Gang number 5 : Uptown, also known as The Fairington Gangster Thugs. They roam the Tobacco Road area.

And for Gang number 6, we even found YouTube footage: The East Boundary Boyz. They normally hang out in East Augusta.

Richmond County Sheriff Ronald Strength says thanks to this operation, they've found out about even more gangs in the area.

"We've learned a lot from this operation, and the future is going to show that this operation is long, long from being over," says Strength.

I uncovered a gang in our neighborhood after my bike was stolen. They tried to steal our other bike and i saw the guy. Then my keys went missing, they were stolen off the hook by the door. They came into our home while my my infant was there and stole little things just to show us they could. I know where they live and i know what they look like and the cops wont do anything ....nothing. they act like nothing even happened. What the hell is going on. they have my car keys my house keys. Ive had 3 different cops here...NOTHING. I fear for my life

Everyone but the Mickey Mouse Gang. (I'm not kidding.) The name was picked purposely so that anyone complaining about it wouldn't be taken seriously.

have those boys dont no what they need in their lives. Maybe if you made school interesting, or gave them something to do, they wouldnt have to run the streets. They go out their for love, because all day every day at school we dont get it. All we get is work, work and more work. Then when you get home what do u have? More work. Then we get stressed and dont want to do shit. If your parents havent set your head straight, then your fucked up, especially if you dont have God. So they run to the streets, where THEY KNOW that someone else like them is going through the same shit. They think they love each other so they stick together. Thats also why some attempt suicide. Schools arent right. And Im not saying that cuz I dont want work, but its not cuz its too much for A KID. We hardly ever get breaks. By the time your 15, if you havent attempted it, youve thought of committing suicide. I know I am 16, but I have the Lord. This "big bust" might be good, but it WONT stop gang violence!

FIRST OF ALL WE ALL HAVE AN OPIOION ON THIS SITUATION AND MINE IS Y IS IT FAIR FOR THE LAW TO GO AND DO SOMETHING LIKE THEY ARE GOING TO BUY GUNS FROM PEOPLE AND PAY THEM ALMOST TRIPLE THE PRICE THEY WOULD HAVE GOT FOR ONE. NO I DON'T THINK U SHOULD GO AND STEAL ANYTHING BUT WHAT ABOUT THOSE YOUNG BOYS THAT DON'T HAVE THE FORTUNE TO HAVE FAMILY THERE WITH MONEY OR ABLE TO GET THERE OWN JOB TO MAKE MONEY REMEMBER IT IS CALLED A HUSTLE EVERYBODY DOES IT EVERYDAY AND U CAN NOT TELL ME THAT IF U COULD SELL SOMETHING REGAURDLESS IF IT WAS YOURS OR NOT AND MAKE 300 OR 500 HUNDRED DOLLARS OFF OF IT AND NO QUESTION ARE ASKED OF COURSE ANY BODY WOULD DO IT. I'M NOT SAYING THAT THEY SHOULD NOT SERVE TIME BUT U ARE TALKING ABOUT 20 TO 25 YEARS FED TIME THATS TO THE DOOR ALOT OF THOSE BOYS ARE YOUNG STILL BABIES 19 AND SO. MAYBE IN A WAY THEY DID SOME OF US A FAVOR BECAUSE IF THE BOYS WERE NOT SEELING THE GUNS BACK TO POLICE JUST INMAGINE HOW MANY LIVES THAT WAS SAVED ON THOSE 430 GUNS
