New Mobile Command Center for Columbia County deputies

October 31, 2007

COLUMBIA CTY, Ga.---It's a brand-new toy with lots of goodies for deputies in Columbia County. Today the sheriff's office received a new Mobile Command Center to use during search and rescue operations, manhunts, and other investigations.

It comes equipped with computers, monitors, radios, and other items necessary when deputies are out in the field.

The command center was paid for by a grant from the Georgia State Legislature. The floor was provided at no charge by The Carpet Shop, and the cabinets were donated by Crawford Cabinets.
