Local woman indicted on state racketeering charges

October 16, 2007

AUGUSTA, Ga.---A local woman has been indicted on state racketeering charges in a case where she's already accused of stealing money from over 100 people.

Cynthia O'Tyson, formerly known as Cindi Reeves, is already in jail.

Investigators say the victims lost more than $200,000 when they didn't receive merchandise O'Tyson promised them.

She was convicted eight years ago of similar charges and served three years in prison.

She's now being held as a parole violator.
