October 2, 2007

AUGUSTA, Ga.---Investigators were on the lookout for her, but she brought herself to them.

Tameika Murphy turned herself in to Richmond County deputies around 11 o'clock last night.

Murphy's being charged with the murder of Marquez Williams at the East Augusta Commons apartments on Saturday evening (September 29). Investigators say an argument over a few bucks turned into a shooting that wound through the complex.

"Mr. Williams then took off running through the buildings," said Inv. "The vehicle then pursued Mr. Williams, more shots were fired and the vehicle was then seen leaving the apartment complex."

Investigators are still on the lookout for other people they say were in the car with Murphy at the time of the shooting. They say Murphy was driving the car, but they don't know yet who pulled the trigger.
