MyNetworkTV’s newest drama “Watch Over Me” explores a love triangle formed when a bodyguard falls in love with the woman he was hired to protect. “Watch Over Me” airs on my12 at 9:00 pm.
This daily, one-hour drama stars Latin beauty Dayanara Torres (“The Young and The Restless”) as Julia Rivera, an alluring graduate student who is engaged to a multi-millionaire. Her fiancé, Michael Krieger, portrayed by Marc Menard (“All My Children”), is a wealthy, yet ruthless business man who loves Julia despite his philandering nature. Due to treacherous business matters, Michael hires Jack Porter, an ex-Special Forces operative to protect him and the one he loves. Todd Cahoon is Jack, the man hired as the bodyguard to watch over Julia and Michael’s daughter Caroline Krieger, played by Caitlin McCarthy. An intense attraction forms between Julia and Jack from the moment they meet. Though he tries not to let his growing feelings for Julia cloud his judgment on the job, Jack is torn between duty and desire. As the lovers struggle with their feelings for each other, they begin to uncover a web of deceit and murder that Michael has woven around their lives, and soon realize how much peril they are in. Tony Castillo plays Alfred Rivera, Julia’s widowed father who has a crisis of conscience when discovering Michael’s sinister plot. Real life married couple Catherine Oxenberg (“Dynasty”) and Casper Van Dien (“Starship Troopers”) portray the characters of Leandra Thames, Michael’s chief aide and personal assistant, and Andre, Michael’s top assassin.
MyNetworkTV is the new primetime general entertainment broadcast television network that launched September 5th, 2006.
