The Castleberry's plant in Augusta is still shut down after a nationwide botulism outbreak in July, costing more than 300 people their jobs.

News 12 has learned 13 full-time employees at the Augusta Castleberry's plant were let go Friday.

SunTrust Banks, Inc. says it will cut about 2,400 jobs by the end of next year.

Gov. Mark Sanford was in Barnwell Tuesday for a big job announcement. Elkay Cabinet Division will be bringing 300 jobs to Barnwell County.

Castleberry's workers are temporarily out of a job. The Georgia Department of Labor set aside time Wednesday to help those workers file for unemployment.

For the first time in a decade the federal minimum wage is going up, from $5.15 to $5.85 an hour.

The distribution center at the Augusta Kellogg's plant is set to close by the end of September. Over one hundred people will lose their jobs.

One of Augusta's newest businesses is officially open. Automatic Data Processing (ADP) held a grand opening at it's new 50,000 square foot facility off Stevens Creek Road.

Before the doors could even open for the job fair, a line of more than 500 people had already wrapped around the building.
