US Fibers to expand plant, add 48 new jobs to Edgefield Co.

EDGEFIELD COUNTY, S.C. -- Almost 50 jobs are headed to Edgefield County after a company announced its expansion.

US Fibers is expanding its plant in Trenton, S.C., and will spend $5.5 million on the project. The company recycles PET post-industrial and post-consumer material.

They plan to start hiring for the 48 positions later this year. You will be able to find information about hte positions at usfibers.com.

"This investment and expansion represents another important step in our evolution as a major recycled PET fiber producer. We appreciate the excellent business environment that South Carolina offers and the continued support from our employees, customers and suppliers," said Steve Zagorski, vice president of New Business Development at US Fibers, in a news release.

US Fibers has been in South Carolina for almost 20 years and in Edgefield County for 10 years, according to the news release.
