AIKEN, S.C. (AP) -- A company that does business at a former nuclear complex in South Carolina is hiring several dozen interns for a summer program.
Savannah River Remediation LLC says it is hiring about 40 college students for its summer internship program at the Savannah River Site near Aiken. Organizers anticipate most of the students will come from local colleges and universities in the Carolinas and Georgia.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens with grade point averages of 2.5 or higher. All majors will be considered, but students studying science, technology, engineering or mathematics are a plus.
All selected applicants will be notified at the end of March. Savannah River Remediation is SRS' liquid waste contractor.
