AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Work on Augusta's Costco will be completed in a little more than two months.
"It's gonna happen," said Costco General Manager Waymon Bell. "We are very excited about Costco coming to this area."
Bell said he just can't wait for the store to open.
"We look to add approximately 200 jobs," Bell said. "We will be bringing in people that transfer with our company, but we will have a considerable amount of people that we will hire locally."
Bell says pay will range from $11 to $19 an hour.
"We are the highest paid in our industry, and we feel that if you hire good people and pay them good wages, good things will happen," he said.
Bell says the store has plenty for shoppers, too.
"We sell everything from eggs to diamonds," Bell said.
Neighboring workers like Niecole Henley are excited about the new store.
"It will give me a chance to just go over and shop when I need to," said Henley, who works at the neighboring Comcast building.
Henley says she only has one complaint.
"Just a lot of traffic," Henley said. "That's the main thing. Even though they are building that road, I think it is still going to be a lot of traffic that comes in and out."
Bell says the store will celebrate the grand opening Nov. 16.
"I'm really looking forward to staying here and building our business," Bell said.
You can start applying for those jobs as early as Sept. 26 at costco.com.
