Morning Money Matters: Job fair looks to fill 50+ open positions

(AUGUSTA, GA) - In a time when jobs seem to be hard to come by, how does this sound? More than 50 of them are up for grabs at a job fair Wednesday, and companies are looking to hire you on the spot.

MAU Workforce solutions is holding the event June 1, 2011 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Just drop by the Hampton Inn on Jimmie Dyess Parkway in Augusta. All of the jobs are at local industrial sites on both sides of the river, and some pay as much as $16 per hour.

Here's a look at some of the available positions:

Aiken
- Machine Operators
- Quality Technicians

Augusta
- Mechanical Assemblers- E-Z-GO
- Inventory Clerk
- Welders- E-Z-GO
- CNC Operator- E-Z-GO

Beech Island
- Forklift Drivers- Kimberly Clark
- Stackers-Kimberly Clark
- Packers- Kimberly Clark
- Machine Operations Support- Kimberly Clark

North Augusta
- Welders

If you want to apply for one of these jobs, you need to have a clean background and be able to pass a drug test. It might also be good to get there early. The interviews are on a first come, first served basis, and they are looking to hire people on the spot.
